Abstract

U ovom radu prikazana su reproduktivna obilježja bikova charolais pasmine. Podatci su
dobiveni iz evidencije Centra za travnjaštvo Agronomskog fakulteta Sveucilišta u Zagrebu, a
odnose se na maticno stado rasplodnih charolais goveda, koje predstavlja osnovnu genetsku
jezgru za stvaranje i proizvodnju rasplodnih bikova i junica ove pasmine u Republici
Hrvatskoj. U razdoblju od 1993.-2001. godine oteljeno je 266 muške i 234 ženske teladi.
Podatci se odnose na spol, porodajnu masu, sezonu teljenja o kojoj ovise masa teladi do
odbica (u sustavu ˝krava-tele˝ 210. dan), masa 365. dan, prirast do odbica, životni prirast,
prirast u testu, mišicna razvijenost, razvijenost skeleta i funkcionalna svojstva. S obzirom na
mišicnu razvijenost, razvijenost skeleta i funkcionalna svojstva, više vrijednosti za navedene
osobine imali bikovi koji su oteljeni u jesen od bikova oteljenih u proljece ili zimi. Iako
gubitci teladi kod ove pasmine nisu veliki, oni mogu prouzrociti znatne ekonomske štete
uzgajivacima mesnih pasmina.

Abstract (english)

This research presents the reproductive traits of Charolais breed bulls. Data were
transferred from the Center for grassland, Agronomy faculty Universty of Zagreb, and refer to
the main herd breeding Charolais cattle, which is the basic genetic core of the production of
bulls and heifers of this breed in Croatia. In the period since 1993. to 2011., 266 male and 234
female calves were born. The data relates to gender, birth weight, calving season on which
weight to weaning depends (in cow half system 210th day), weight 365th day, growth to
weaning, life weight gain, growth in the test, muscular development, skeleton development
and functional properties. Regarding to muscle development, skeleton development and
functional properties, the bulls that were calved in the fall had higher values for these
characteristics than the bulls calved in the spring or winter. Although losses of calves in this
breed are not siginificant, they can cause economic losses to beef breed farmers.
