Abstract

Influenca ptica kontagiozna je zarazna bolest sa zoonotskim potencijalom uzrokovana
virusom iz roda influenzavirusa A, porodice Orthomyxoviridae, te može značajno utjecati na
proizvodnost peradarske industrije. Influenca ptica dijeli se na nisko patogene i visoko patogene
sojeve. Obje vrste sojeva kontinuirano se nadziru i kontroliraju primjenom mjera unutar
populacija peradi, domaćih ptica, pernate divljači i divljih ptica. S obzirom na to da je influenca
ptica prisutna u većem dijelu Europske unije, prijedlozi i revizije mjera provode se na razini
pojedinačnih država, ali i na razini Europske unije. Europska agencija za sigurnost hrane izdaje
redovna znanstvena izvješća o učinkovitosti mjera za određeni period kalendarske godine. U
Republici Hrvatskoj, ovisno o epidemiološkoj situaciji, izdaje se Naredba o mjerama za
sprječavanje pojave i širenja influence, a za svaku godinu izrađuju se programi nadziranja
influence ptica u peradi te divljih ptica. Mjere se primjenjuju u skladu s Pravilnikom o mjerama
za suzbijanje i kontrolu influence ptica (NN, 131/06). Među mjerama posebnu važnost imaju
biosigurnosne i zoohigijenske mjere kao neophodan vid prevencije i kontrole zaraze.
Biosigurnosnim mjerama obuhvaćen je čitav proces od nadzora zdravstvenog stanja, prikladnog
uklanjanja lešina i kontaminiranih materijala, proizvoda i nusproizvoda, dezinfekcije,
smanjenja rizičnih kontakata između bolesnih i zdravih jedinki do higijene svih djelatnika i
ostalih osoba koje dolaze u kontakt sa sumnjivim i bolesnim životinjama, odnosno
kontaminiranim objektima i materijalima. Ispravnost provođenja svih mjera mora se osigurati
popratnim inspekcijama i dvosmjernom komunikacijom između nadležnih tijela i dionika i
javnosti.

Abstract (english)

Avian influenza is a contagious viral disease with zoonotic potential caused by a virus of
the Influenzavirus A genus, Orthomyxoviridae family, which has the potential to disrupt poultry
industries. Avian influenza is divided into low pathogenicity and high pathogenicity subtypes.
Both subtypes are continuously monitored and controlled by application of measures to poultry,
domestic bird, bird game and wild bird populations. Since avian influenza is present in the
majority of the European Union states, measure recommendations and revisions are carried out
on both the individual state level, and the European Union level. The European Food Safety
Authority regularly issues Scientific Reports on the effectiveness of the measures against the
emergence and spreading of the avian influenza for a specific period of the year. The Republic
of Croatia issues a decree on the measures for prevention of emergence and spreading of the
avian influenza in accordance to the current epidemiological situation. In addition, for each
year, an avian influenza-monitoring program is made for monitoring domestic and wild birds.
Measures are made analogously to the official Croatian Regulation on the measures for
prevention and control of the avian influenza. Biosafety and zoohygienic measures play a vital
role in the prevention and control of avian influenza. Biosafety measures encompass the whole
disease combat process, including health monitoring, appropriate waste and carcass disposal,
disinfection, reduction of contact between animals and personnel hygiene and biosafety.
Supervision, follow up revisions and functioning communication between competent bodies
and stakeholders are essential for proper disease management.
