Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je objasniti utjecaj godišnjih doba i nekih klimatskih čimbenika na rasplodnu učinkovitost romanovske pasmine ovaca u Hrvatskoj. Stočarstvo je jedna od najstarijih i primarnih djelatnosti kojima su se ljudi počeli baviti, a uveliko ovisi o klimi i klimatskim čimbenicima u različitim geografskim područjima, kao i većina aktivnosti u društvenim i gospodarskim segmentima. Klima može imati pozitivne, ali i negativne učinke na život ljudi i životinja, a optimalni okolišni uvjeti bitna su stavka za održavanje životnih aktivnosti i rasplodnu učinkovitost različitih životinjskih vrsta. Životinje su se prilagodile različitim klimatskim uvjetima i godišnjim dobima u kojima se nalaze, dok se dodatne promjene u obrascima uzgoja, postižu križanjem različitih pasmina kako bi se izmiješali genetski potencijali za različite željene osobine. U tu svrhu najčešće se koriste ovce romanovske pasmine zbog velike prilagodljivosti i reproduktivne sposobnosti. Iako je ova pasmina ovaca izrazito plodna, distribucija janjenja nije ista tijekom cijele godine, zbog čega je potrebno predvidjeti optimalne vremenske uvjete u kojima se uzgaja u svrhu postizanja maksimalnih performansi. Kao posljedica sve veće intenzivne stočarske proizvodnje, životinje sada proizvode na višoj razini tijekom cijele godine, što rezultira povećanim brojem dana u kojima su životinje izložene nepovoljnim klimatskim uvjetima zbog intenzivnije reprodukcije. Ta se izloženost odražava u smanjenju profita farme bilo smanjenjem proizvodnje ili povećanjem troškova postrojenja za ublažavanje nepovoljnih klimatskih čimbenika.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this thesis was to explain the influence of the seasons and some climatic factors on the breeding efficiency of the Romanov breed of sheep in Croatia. Animal husbandry is one of the oldest and primary activities that people began to engage in, and it is highly dependent on climate and climatic factors in different geographical areas, as are most activities in social and economic segments. The climate can have positive and negative effects on the life of people and animals, and optimal environmental conditions are an essential item for maintaining the life activity and reproductive efficiency of various animal species. Animals have adapted to the different climates and seasons in which they are found, while additional changes in breeding patterns are achieved by crossing different breeds to mix the genetic potential for different desired traits. For this purpose, these Romanian breeds are most often used due to their great adaptability and reproductive capacity. Although this breed of sheep is extremely fertile, the distribution of lambs is not the same throughout the year, which is why it is necessary to predict the optimal weather conditions in which it is bred to achieve maximum performance. As intensive livestock production increases, animals now produce at a higher level throughout the year, resulting in an increased number of days in which animals are exposed to adverse climatic conditions due to more intensive reproduction. This exposure is reflected in reduced farm profits either by reducing production or increasing plant costs to mitigate adverse climate factors.
