Abstract

Liječenje loma potkoljenice vanjskim fiksatorom
Potkoljenica zbog svog anatomskog položaja često je izložena traumama, koje najčešće zahvaćaju mlađe životinje. Stoga je vrlo bitno upoznati se sa načinima sanacije lomova. Rad je temeljen na upotrebi vanjskog fiksatora kao jednostavne, učinkovite i često jedine metode izbora u liječenju lomova. Suvremeni trendovi osteosinteze obuhvaćaju biološke pristupe i AOVET principe liječenja lomova poput “minimal invasive osteosintesis“ ili “open but do not touch“.
U ovom radu iznesen je kratki prikaz anatomije potkoljenice, klasifikacije lomova, liječenje lomova s naglaskom na vanjski fiksator kao metodom izbora u liječenju s njegovim prednostima i nedostatcima. Također, postoji osvrt na biomehaniku vanjskog fiksatora kao odlučujućeg faktora u tehnici postavljanja, te postoperativna njega kao završni korak u liječenju lomova potkoljenice.

Abstract (english)

Treatment of tibial and fibular fractures with external fixator
Tibia and fibula due to its anatomic position is often exposed to trauma, which often affect younger animals. Therefore, it is very imortant to become familiar with the ways of regabilitation of the fractures. The work is based on the use of external fixator as a simple, effective and often the only method of choice in the treatment of fractures. Modern trends osteosynthesis include biological approaches and AOVET principles of treatment of fractures such as “ minimal invasive ostesythesis „ or “ open but do not touch „.
This paper contains a brief overview of the anatomy of the tibia and fibula, fracture classifications, treatment of fractures with a focus on external fixator as the method of choice in the treatment with its advantages and disadvanteges. There is also a reference to the biomechanics of external fixator as a determining factor in setting the technique, and postoperative care as the final step in the treatment of fractures of the tibia and fibula.
