Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad počinje opisom pripreme pacijenta za ultrazvučnu pretragu probavnog sustava te opisom izvođenja same pretrage. Opisano je brijanje pacijenta i aplikacija akustičnog gela, odabir ultrazvučne sonde i različiti položaji pacijenta radi lakšeg pristupa i temeljitijeg pregleda probavnih organa. U daljnjem dijelu rada opisana je ultrazvučna anatomija pojedinih segmenata probavnog sustava u zdravih pasa (anatomski položaj želuca i crijeva, debljina i građa želučane i crijevne stjenke te njihova peristaltička aktivnost). Potom je opisano prepoznavanje fiziološkog sadržaja želuca i crijeva (ultrazvučna slika plina, tekućine, sluzi i sadržaja želuca i crijeva). I na kraju opisana su patološka stanja odnosno ultrazvučne slike poremećaja probavnog sustava dostupne ultrazvučnoj pretrazi (kongenitalna hipertrofična stenoza pilorusa, kronična hipertrofična pilorusna gastropatija, intususcepcija, ileus, strana tijela, upalne i neoplastične bolesti probavnog sustava). Njihov detaljan i sažet opis pomoći će doktorima veterinarske medicine da što brže postave pravilnu dijagnozu.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis begins by describing patient preparation for an ulrasound scan of digestive tract and includes a description of the actual imaging proces. The description provides details of patient shaving, ultrasonic gel application, ultrasonic probe selection and different posicion for the patient which allow easier access and a more thorough examination of the digestive organs. This is followed by a description of the ultrasonic anatomy of certain digestive tract segments i healthy dogs (the anatomical position of the stomach and the intestines and the composition and thickness of gastric and intestinal walls and their peristaltic activity). Furter on the description includes the physiological contens of the stomach and intestine (ultraconic imaging og gas, liquids, mucos and food particles). Finally, pathological conditions or ultrasound imaging of digestive tract conditions which can be examined ultrasonically (such as congenital hypertofic pyloric stenosis, cronic hypertrophic pyloric gastropathy, intussusception, ileus, foregin bodies, inflammatory and neoplastic illnesess of the digestive system) are described. Their details and conccise description will help doctor of veterinaryy medicine quickly provide an accurate diagnosis.
