Abstract

Svrha ovog istraživanja bila je istražiti ucinak gama-zracenja na titar protutijela za virus
newcastleske bolesti u krvi pilica lake pasmine nakon akutnog ozracivanja dozama od 0,05 i
0,8 Gy. Pokus je nacinjen na muškim pilicima lake pasmine koji su cijepljeni neposredno
nakon valjenja a ozraceni prvog odnosno treceg dana nakon cijepljenja dozom od 0,05 Gy i
0,8 Gy gama-zracenja pri brzini doze od 0,0117 Gy/s. Titar protutijela za virus Newcastleske
bolesti odreden je postupkom inhibicije hemaglutinacije u krvnom serumu pilica 1., 7., 14.,
21., i 28. dana nakon cijepljenja. Rezultati su pokazali da se titar protutijela za virus
newcastleske bolesti u krvnom serumu pilica ozracenih prvog odnosno treceg dana nakon
cijepljenja dozom od 0,05 Gy i 0,8 Gy nije statisticki znacajno promijenio u usporedbi sa
titrom protutijela kontrolne skupine. Na osnovi rezultata može se zakljuciti da cijepljenje
jednodnevnih pilica lake pasmine te naknadno ozracivanje dozom od 0,05 i 0,8 Gy gamazracenja
te ne uzrokuje promjene titra protutijela za virus newcastleske bolesti u krvnom
serumu ozracenih pilica

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of gamma radiation upon Newcastle disease
virus antibody level after acute exposure with dose of 0,05 Gy and 0,8 Gy gamma radiation.
The experiment was made on light chicken breeds irradiated with dose of 0,05 Gy and 0,8 Gy
gamma radiation with dose rate of 0,0117 Gy/s on the first and on the thrid day after hatching.
Chicken were vaccinated by nebulization on the first day after hatching. Antibody level upon
Newcastle disease in blood serum of chicken was quantified by hemagglutination inhibition
assay on 1th, 7th, 14th and 28th day after vaccination. Results demonstrate that antibody titre
against Newcastle disease in blood serum of chicken irradiated whith dose of 0,05 Gy and 0,8
Gy gamma radiation on the first and on the third day after hatching was not statistically
significant. Therefore, these results suggest that irradiation of light chicken breeds on the first
and third day after vaccination with dose of 0,05 Gy and 0,8 Gy does not change antibody
titre upon Newcastle disease.
