Abstract

Ris (Lynx lynx; Linnaeus, 1758.) pripada u razred sisavaca (Mammalia), red zvijeri (Carnivora), porodicu mačaka (Felidae), potporodicu pravih mačaka (Felinae) te rod ris (Lynx). Najveći je predstavnik porodice mačaka u Europi. U nacionalnom zakonodavstvu ris je strogo zaštićena vrsta (NN 144/2013), te se nalazi na Crvenoj listi sisavaca sa statusom regionalno izumrle vrste.
Iako se ris intenzivno istražuje na većem dijelu europskog areala, još uvijek postoje nepoznanice u biologiji vrste. U pitanju je relativno velika, ali skrovita vrsta prirodno male gustoće populacije koja živi u šumskim područjima s manjim utjecajem ljudskih aktivnosti.
Na temelju prikupljenih podataka vidljivo je da je u znanstvenoj literaturi dostupno značajno više podataka o učestalosti zaraznih bolesti kod iberijskog risa nego kod euroazijskog.
U ovom radu navedene su bakterijske, virusne i parazitarne zarazne bolesti ustanovljene kod iberijskog i euroazijskog risa.

Abstract (english)

Lynx (Lynx lynx; Linnaeus, 1758) belongs in the mammalian class (Mammalia), the order of the carnivore (Carnivora), the cat family (Felidae), the real cat family (Felinae), and the genus lynx (Lynx). It is the largest representative of the cat family in Europe. In national legislation, lynx is a strictly protected species (NN 144/2013), and is part of the Red List of mammals with a status of regional endangered species.
Although lynx has been extensively explored throughout the European range, there are still unknown facts in the biology of the species. It is a relatively large, but hard to see, species of low-density population that lives in forest with minimal human impact.
Based on the data that has been collected, it is clear that scientifically more information on the incidence of infectious disease is available for Iberian lynx rather than Eurasian.
Here we discuss bacterial, viral and parasitic infectious diseases identified in lynxes.
