Abstract

Limfom predstavlja najčešću grupu novotvorevina kod pasa te se najčešće javlja u srednjoj i starijoj dobi. Iako se često promatra kao jednostruka bolest, ona zapravo obuhvaća brojne klinički i morfološki različite oblike neoplazije limfoidnih stanica. Točan uzrok nastanka ove bolesti nije poznat, ali se smatra da okolišni faktori i genetska osjetljivost igraju važnu ulogu. Najčešće se pojavljuje u multicentričnom obliku, srednjeg do visokog stupnja malignosti, češće porijekla B limfocita. Konačna dijagnoza obično se bazira na aspiracijskoj citološkoj pretrazi, biopsiji i/ili histopatologiji, koju upotpunjavaju druge pretrage kao što su rendgenološka i ultrazvučna, pretrage krvi i mokraće, PCR i biomarkeri. Protokoli terapije s više lijekova koji kombiniraju ciklofosfamid, doksorubicin, vinkristin i prednizolon rezultiraju najvećom stopom i najduljim trajanjem odgovora te čine osnovu za većinu trenutnih protokola koji se koriste za liječnje limfoma. Prognoza ove bolesti ovisi o brojnim čimbenicima, a najbitniji se smatraju imunofenotip, stadij bolesti te odgovor na kemoterapiju,a prosječno preživljavanje je 10- 14 mjeseci. Veliki problem predstavlja otpornost limfoma na lijekove te bi značajan bio razvoj tretmana kojima bi se zaobišla ova pojava.

Abstract (english)

Lymphoma is a most common cancer in middle- aged and older dogs. Altrough is often viewed as single disease, lymphoma actually include a many clinical and morphologic different type of lymphoid cell neoplasia. The cause of lymphoma in dogs is not known but it is considered that environmental factors and genetic sensibility have important role in lymphoma formation. Most common type of lymphoma in the dog is multicentric lymphoma, medium to high grade of malignancy, more often origin of B lymphocytes. Definitive diagnose is based on fine needle aspiration, biopsy and/or hystopatology, in addition witch some other testing like X-rays and ultrasound, blood and urin test, PCR and biomarkers. Therapy protocol with few medicine such as Cyclophosphamide, Vincristine and Prednisolone result in the highest rate and the longest response time and these form the basis of the majority protocol for lymphoma treatment. Prognosis of these disease depend on a number of factors and the most immportant is imunophenotype, stage of disease and response on chemotherapy. Expected survival is 10-14 months. The problem is that lymphoma is resistant on chemoterapeutic and significant would be the development of treatments that would circumvented this phenomenon
