Abstract

Dermatofitoza je bolest uzrokovana gljivama koje spadaju u skupinu dermatofita, a javlja se u gotovo svih domaćih i divljih sisavaca i čovjeka. Dermatofiti bitni za veterinarsku medicinu priradaju rodovima Microsporum i Trichophyton. Dermatofitoza je kontagiozna bolest i širi se izravnim kontaktom, te neizravno preko predmeta i okoliša kontaminiranog artroswporama. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi učestalost izdvajanja dermatofita iz dlake pasa i amačaka sa postavljenom sumnjom na dermatofitozu. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 200 pasa i mačaka zaprimljenih na Kliniku za zarazne bolesti u razdoblju od 31.12.2011. do 06.02.2014., u kojih je na temelju kliničke pretrage postavljena sumnja na dermatofitozu. Od 200 pasa i mačaka sa postavljenom sumnjom na dermatofitozu bolest je objektivno dokazana u njih 26 (13%). Od 26 pozitivnih uzoraka, iz 17(65%) je izdvojena M.canis, iz 5 (19%) uzoraka T.mentagrophytes, a iz 4 (15%) uzoraka M.gypseum. Statističkom analizom dobivenih rezultata utvrđena je očekivana veća učestalost dermatofitoze u klinički sumnjivih životinja mlađih od godine dana.

Abstract (english)

Dermatophytoses is a disease caused by fungi that belong to the group of dermatophytes. It occures in almost all domestic and wild mammals and in humans. Dermatophytes of veterinary importance comprise fungi of the genera Microsporum and Trichophyton. Dermatophytoses is a
contagious disease which spreads by direct contact or indirectly via objects or environment contaminated with arthrospores. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of
dermatophytes isolation from the hair of dogs and cats with suspicion of dermatophytoses. This study was conducted in the period from 31 Dec, 2011 to 2 Jun, 2014 on a sample of 200 dogs and cats which were examined and suspected of having dermatophytoses on the basis of clinical examination. From the 200 dogs and cats with suspected dermatophytoses, the disease was
objectively diagnosed in 26 (13%) of them. Out of the 26 samples, 17 (65%) were identified as M. canis, 5 (19%) as T. mentagrophytes and 4 (15%) as M. gypseum. Statistical analysis of the results showed expected higher frequency of dermatophytoses in clinically suspected animals under the age of one.
