Abstract

Aktivnost divljih životinja je uvjetovana različitim vanjskim i unutarnjim čimbenicima, među kojima su najvažniji svjetlost i temperatura, spol i reproduktivni status, aktivnost plijena odnosno predatora, te aktivnost ljudi. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je pratiti sezonske promjene aktivnosti euroazijskog risa u Hrvatskoj te utvrditi mijenja li se aktivnost risa na mikrolokacijama tijekom godine. Istraživanje je provedeno na području rasprostranjenosti risa u Hrvatskoj, gdje je u razdoblju od 04. svibnja 2018. do 07. prosinca 2021. postavljeno 77 fotozamki na različitim mikrolokacijama. Tijekom navedenog razdoblja ukupno je zabilježeno 927 događaja na kojima je ris, od čega je najveći broj događaja (11.8%) zabilježen u veljači kada započinje sezona parenja. Pri tome, najveći udio događaja u veljači čine mužjaci na markiralištima. Iako je tijekom razdoblja istraživanja gotovo jednak broj fotozamki bio postavljen na markiralištima, šumskim cestama i životinjskim putevima, broj događaja zabilježen na markiralištima je barem dvostruko veći. Također, vidljiva je i razlika u korištenju životinjskih puteva i šumskih cesta tijekom godine: od siječnja do svibnja risovi češće koriste životinjske puteve, a od lipnja do prosinca šumske ceste.

Abstract (english)

The activity of wild animals depends on different external and internal factors, among which the most important are light and temperature, gender and reproductive status, prey or predator activity, and human activity. This research aimed to follow the seasonal changes in the activity of the Eurasian lynx in Croatia and determine if lynx activity on microlocations changes during the year. The research has been conducted on the area of the lynx range in Croatia, where 77 camera traps have been set on different microlocations in the period of the 4th of May 2018 to the 7th of December 2021. During the beforementioned period, there have been noted 927 events of lynx, of which the largest number of events (11.8%) has been noted in February when the mating season starts. The largest number of those events in February have been males on marking sites. Although during the beforementioned period, a similar amount of camera traps have been set up on marking sites, forrest roads, and animal paths, the number of events captured on marking sites has been at least two times bigger. Furthermore, there is a clear difference in the usage of wildlife trails and forest roads during the year: from January to May lynx use wildlife trails more often whereas from June to December they use forest roads more frequently.
