Abstract

Za razliku od akutne boli, patofiziologija, uloge i način liječenja kronične boli u pasa su
znatno manje istraživani. Pravilno i temeljito liječenje kronične boli, rana dijagnostika i
individualni pristup svakom pacijentu mogu imati izrazito veliku ulogu u poboljšanju
kvalitete života pacijenta. U ovom diplomskog radu učinjen je pregled literature vezan uz
pravilno prepoznavanje kronične boli, precizniju definiciju tipova kronične boli, trenutno
dostupne farmakološke i nefarmakološke metode liječenja kronične boli, sprječavanje
sindroma kronične, kao i buduće smjernice vezane uz liječenje kronične boli.

Abstract (english)

In contrast to acute pain, the pathophysiology, role, and treatment of chronic pain in dogs
have been much less researched. Proper and thorough treatment of chronic pain, early
diagnosis and individual approach to each patient can play an extremely large role in
improving the patient's quality of life. In this thesis, a review of the literature was made,
related to the correct recognition of chronic pain, a more precise definition of chronic pain
types, currently available pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods of chronic
pain treatment, prevention of chronic pain syndrome, as well as future guidelines related
to the treatment of chronic pain.
