Abstract
Ovim je radom dan saţeti pregled fiziologije rasploĊivanja zamorĉića. Uz rasploĊivanje opisano je podrijetlo zamorĉića, njihova sistematika i domestikacija. U radu je opisana vrsta zamorĉića koja se najĉešće moţe sresti kao kućni ljubimac. Opisane su osnovne anatomske i fiziološke znaĉajke vezane uz spolno sazrijevanje i spolnu aktivnost, posebno za muške i ţenske jedinke. ObraĊen je spolni ciklus zajedno s prikazom neurohormonalne regulacije, gravidnosti i poroĊaja. Pozornost je stavljena i na patologiju gravidnosti i rasploĊivanja. U radu su navedene i osnove drţanja i hranjenja zamorĉića.
Abstract (english)
This paper provides a summary of the physiology of guinea pigs reproduction. Here is described the origin of guinea pigs, their systematics and domestication. The paper describes the breed of guinea pigs which is most often encountered as a pet. It describes the basic anatomical and physiological features associated with sexual maturation and sexual activity, both in males and females. Estrus cycle is described along with neurohormonal regulation, pregnancy and parturition. Attention is placed on pathology of gestational period and fertility. This paper also presents the basics of housing and feeding of guinea pigs
