Abstract

Azijski žutonogi stršljen (Vespa velutina) je invazivna vrsta koja je u Europu unesena s
područja Kine. 2004. godine prisutnost stršljena je zabilježena u Francuskoj, a ubrzo nakon toga
invazija se poširila po ostalim europskim državama. Azijski žutonogi stršljen značajan je kao
štetnik u pčelarstvu zbog negativnog utjecaja na medonosne pčele, te ima negativni utjecaj na
sociološki apsekt kod ljudi. Predstavlja konkurenciju autohtonim vrstama stršljena te utječe na
ekosustav invadiranog područja. Ubija odrasle medonosne pčele i posljedično smanjuje prinos
meda. Razvija različite tehnike kojima se nastoji približiti pčelama, a sukladno tome i pčele
koriste metode obrane. Obrambeni mehanizam pčela se zasniva na formiranju tzv. tepiha na
letu. Prilagodljiv je na različite klimatske uvjete. Gnijezda postavlja na različitim lokacijama,
nadmorskim visinama i različitim područjima, od jako naseljenih do nenaseljenih. U suzbijanju
V. velutina se koriste brojne metode, od ručnog uništavanja gnijezda, do upotrebe insekticida
te kontroliranja razmnožavanja. Poznati su slučajevi alergijskih reakcija kod ljudi nakon uboda
V. velutina, kao i smrtni ishodi.

Abstract (english)

Asian yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina) is an invasive species that is embedded in
Europe from the area of China. In 2004, the presence of the hornet was recorded in France, and
shortly thereafter the invasion spread out to others European countries. Asian yellow-legged
hornet is significant as a pest in beekeeping because of the negative impact on honeybees, and
has a negative effect influence on sociological apse in humans. It represents competition
indigenous types of hornets and affect the ecosystem of the invaded area.He kills adult
honeybees and consequently reduces the yield of honey. Hornet develops various techniques
that are being sought to approach bees, and accordingly, bees use defense methods. The bee
defense mechanism is based on formation of so-called carpet on the fly. He is adaptable to
different climatic conditions. The nest is placed at different locations, altitude and different
areas, from heavily populated to uninhabited. In suppressing V.velutina are used many methods,
from manual nest destruction, to insecticide use and reproduction control. They are known cases
of allergic reactions in humans after the V. velutina vein sting, as well as deaths.
