Abstract

Tumori mliječne žlijezde, uz mastitis su najvažnija bolest mliječne žlijezde. Neoplazije mliječne žlijezde u mačaka na trećem su mjestu po učestalosti. Rizični faktori za nastanak tumora mliječne žlijezde kod mačke su dob životinje, pasmina i hormonski utjecaj. Oko 80 do 90% tumora mliječne žlijezde su maligni, adenokarcinomi u najvećem postotku. Iznimno su agresivni jer rapidno rastu i metastaziraju u regionalne limfne čvorove, pluća, jetru i slezenu te su najčešće fatalnog završetka. Kod... More većine mačaka nakon operacije razvit će se recidivi i uginut će unutar jedne godine. Najvažniji prognostički faktori u procjeni vremena bez znakova bolesti i vremena preživljavanja nakon operacije su veličina odnosno obujam tumora i tip operacije. Što je nodul u trenutku operacije manji, to je postoperativna prognoza bolja. Pretpostavlja se da spolni hormoni imaju ulogu u razvoju tumora mliječne žlijezde, jer većina tih tumora javlja se kod ženki, rana ovariektomija značajno smanjuje rizik od razvoja takvih tumora te primjena sintetičkih progestina povećava rizik. Radikalna jednostrana ili obostrana mastektomija je preporuča kirurška metoda za liječenje malignih tumora mliječne žlijezde mačke jer značajno smanjuje vjerojatnost lokalnih recidiva. Abstract (english)

Mammary tumors, with mastitis are the most important disease of the mammary glands. Neoplasia of the mammary glands in cats are in the third place in frequency. Risk factors for the development of mammary tumors in cats are animals age, breed and hormonal influence. Approximately 80 to 90% of mammary tumors are malignant, adenocarcinomas in the highest percentage. It is assumed that sex hormones play a role in the development of mammary tumors, because the majority of these tumors occur in the female, early ovariectomy significantly reduces the risk of development of such tumors and the use of synthetic progestins increases the risk.
