Abstract

Rasplodna jata teških pasmina kokoši u intenzivnoj proizvodnji iziskuju opsežan
menadžment koji počinje pripremom peradnjaka za prihvat jednodnevnih pilića budućeg
rasplodnog jata. U objekte se ugrađuje prikladna oprema za hranjenje i napajanje, a tijekom čitavog
proizvodnog turnusa jato se drži u kontroliranim mikroklimatskim uvjetima i pri specifičnom
svjetlosnom režimu. Posebna briga i postupci nužni su pri rukovanju s oplođenim jajima. Postoje
mnogi putevi unosa i širenja bolesti u jatu u uvjetima intenzivne proizvodnje te se stoga
primjenjuju mjere biosigurnosti kako bi se rizik od pojave bolesti stavio pod kontrolu. Izravno se
perad od oboljenja zaštićuje cijepljenjem protiv aktualnih bolesti te se za svako jato radi
individualna procjena i izrađuje primjereni program cijepljenja. Zbog prirode držanja peradi u
gusto naseljenim prostorima intenzivne peradarske proizvodnje, javljaju se mnogi problemi
dobrobiti te se oni nastoje smanjiti ili ukloniti različitim mjerenjima pokazatelja dobrobiti,
smanjenjem gustoće naseljenosti, prilagodbom genetike i zahvatima u okolišu.

Abstract (english)

Broiler breeder flocks in intensive production systems demand extensive management
which begins with the preparation of poultry house for the arrival of day-old chicks of the future
flock. Suitable feeding and drinking equipment is installed in the facilities, and during the entire
production cycle the flock is kept under controlled microclimate conditions and specific lightning
regime. Special care and procedures are necessary when handling fertilized eggs. There are many
routes of introduction and spreading of diseases within the flock in intesive production enviroment,
therefore biosecurity measures are implemented to keep the health risks contained. Direct
protection is provided by vaccination against contemporary diseases, accordingly, an individual
assessment is made for each flock and an appropriate vaccination program is designed. Numerous
welfare problems arise due to the nature of keeping poultry in densely populated areas. There are
attempts to reduce or eliminate them by various welfare indicator measurements, reduction of
population density, genetic adaptations and environmental adjustments.
