Abstract

Proširenje i zavrnuće želuca je po život opasno stanje koje zahtjeva odgovarajuće medicinsko i kirurško liječenje te postoperativnu njegu. Ovaj rad se bavi čimbenicima koji utječu na razvoj PZŽ-a, različitim kirurškim zahvatima čiji je glavni cilj ispravljanje nepravilnog položaja želuca, procjena i liječenje posljedica ishemije slezene i stijenke želuca te spriječavanje ponovnog zavrnuća fiksacijom želuca za trbušnu stijenku, postoperativnim liječenjem te mogućim komplikacijama. Opisane su metode kojima se liječi proširenje i zavrnuće želuca, lijekovi koji se koriste za stabilizaciju životinje prije operacije te lijekovi u postoperativnoj njezi. Također, ovaj rad se bavi mogućim stručnim pogreškama koje napravljene mimo pravila veterinarske djelatnosti treba nadoknaditi.

Abstract (english)

Dilatation with volvulus is a life-threatening condition that requires appropriate medical and surgical treatment and postoperative care. This paper deals with the factors influencing the development of PZŽ, various surgical procedures whose main goal is to correct the incorrect position of the stomach, assess and treat the consequences of ischemia of the spleen and stomach wall and prevent recurrence by fixation of the stomach to the abdominal wall, postoperative treatment and possible complications. Methods used to treat dilatation and volvulus of the stomach, drugs used to stabilize the animal before surgery, and drugs in postoperative care are described. Also, this paper deals with possible professional errors that should be compensated by the rules of veterinary activity.
