pretrage odnosno punkcije limfnih čvorova u pasa.
01.01.2009. do 01.01.2019. godine. Najčešće ustanovljene dijagnoze su bile limfom i
reaktivna hiperplazija gdje je ustanovljeno 127 slučajeva limfoma i 57 slučajeva reaktivne
hiperplazije. Osim toga u 60 slučajeva nije bilo moguće postaviti dijagnozu, u 43 slučajeva
ustanovljene su dijagnoze poput lipoma, mastocitoma, melanoma itd., u 32 slučajeva
29% (37), zlatnih retrivera 12% (15) i američkih stafordskih terijera 4% (5).
Abstract (english) | Cytological examination of canine lymph node: Review of diagnostic reports of the
Department of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb in a ten-year
period
The aim of this study was to determine the most common diagnoses when performing
cytological examination, i.e. fine needle aspiration of lymph nodes in dogs. In addition, the
incidence of certain diagnoses in different dog breeds, sex and age of dogs was also
determined.
In this study, 330 cytological findings of lymph nodes in dogs from the archives of the
Department of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb were
examined. Cytological findings in the period from January 1, 2009 to January 1, 2019 were
examined. The most common diagnoses were lymphoma and reactive hyperplasia where 127
cases of lymphoma and 57 cases of reactive hyperplasia have been found. In addition, in 60
cases it was not possible to make a diagnosis, in 43 cases diagnoses such as lipoma,
mastocytoma, melanoma, etc. were established, in 32 cases lymphoma was suspected, in six
cases lymphadenitis was diagnosed and in five cases reactive hyperplasia was suspected.
Lymphomas were found to occur most commonly in crossbreeds 29% (37), golden retrievers
12% (15) and American Staffordshire terriers 4% (5). Also, lymphomas were found to be
diagnosed in middle-aged and elderly dogs, ranging in age from 5 to 13 years. Regarding the
incidence of lymphomas with reference to sex, it was found that lymphomas were diagnosed
in a larger number in male dogs.
Cytological examination is very useful in making a diagnosis, since with the help of
this examination we can determine whether it is a neoplastic process, most often lymphoma,
or an inflammatory process such as reactive hyperplasia or lymphadenitis. Also, the
importance of training veterinarians in this technique should be emphasized in order to obtain
the highest quality samples and thus make accurate diagnoses, which is necessary for further
treatment and prognosis |
