Abstract

Uzgoj patuljastih svinja kao kućnih ljubimaca danas je sve rašireniji u skoro svim
dijelovima svijeta, imajući u vidu da su one svojom inteligencijom, zaigranošću, empatičnosti
i lakom prilagodljivosti na različite uvjete pogodne za držanje kako u zatvorenom (stanu/kući),
tako i u otvorenom prostoru. U ovom je diplomskom radu obrađeno 18 pasmina patuljastih
svinja – njihove karakteristike i specifičnosti. Ukoliko se drže kao kućni ljubimci, neophodno
je poznavati osnove njihova držanja, hranidbe, zaštite zdravlja i dobrobiti u uzgoju, kao i
specifičnosti ponašanja, što je i prezentirano u ovom diplomskom radu

Abstract (english)

Breeding of miniature (dwarf ) pigs as pets is now widespread in almost all parts of the
world, bearing in mind that their intelligence, playfulness, empathy and easy adaptability to
different conditions are suitable for keeping both indoors (apartment / house) and outdoors. In
this thesis, 18 breeds of dwarf pigs are described - their characteristics and specifics. If they are
kept as pets, it is necessary to know the basics of their behavior, nutrition, health and welfare
in breeding, as well as the specifics of behavior, which is presented in this graduate thesis.
