Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad opisuje unapređenje reproduktivnog managementa farme OPG
Klaban na kojoj se uzgaja nekoliko pasmina ovaca. Samo istraživanje je provedeno na
arhivskim podacima skupljenima tokom dvije rasplodne sezone. U prvom dijelu
istraživanja analizirao se učinak flushing metode prije početka pripusne sezone. U tu svrhu
su uspoređivani rezultati sa kontrolnom sezonom, te je utvrđen pozitivan učinak flushing
metode u vidu povećanja prosječnog broja rođene janjadi po ovci, kao i smanjenog broja
mrtvorođene janjadi. Drugi dio istraživanja se fokusirao na usporedbu parametara tjelesne
mase i prirasta janjadi te količine mliječne masti u križanih pasmina ovaca. Naglasak je
stavljen na visokoplodnu Romanovsku ovcu koja bi se koristila kao baza za budući remont
stada. Prvotno je provedeno križanje Romanovske ovce s ovnom Clun Forest te su
dobiveni potomci F1 generacije. Ženski potomci F1 su u narednoj sezoni križani s
čistokrvnim ovnom Ille de France, s razlogom dodatnog poboljšanja mesnatosti, konverzije
hrane i dnevnog prirasta završne F2 generacije. Sama F2 generacija je namijenjena
plasmanu na tržište. Ženska grla F1 generacije su pokazala značajnu statističku razliku u
vidu povećanja mliječne masti u mlijeku u usporedbi sa svojim čistokrvnim majkama
Romanovske pasmine. Plodnost F1 šilježica nije bila statistički značajno veća. Dnevni
prirast i završna tjelesna masa 105. dana starosti janjadi iz F2 generacije bila je statistički
značajno veća u usporedbi s janjadi iz F1 generacije. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata
zaključeno je da se provedbom pravilnog režima hranidbe i izborom kvalitetnih šilježica
dobre genetike koja će se koristiti u remontu stada može unaprijediti reproduktivni
management ovčarske farme. Implementacijom tih metoda moguće je ostvariti bolji
rezultate u ovčarstvu.

Abstract (english)

This thesis analyses the methods used to improve reproductive success on the
„Klaban“ family sheep farm. The research was carried out on the basis of archive data
collected during two consecutive reproductive seasons. In the first part, the effect of
flushing administered before the expected start of the reproductive season was analysed
and compared with the control season. The positive results of flushing were shown in the
higher average number of lambs born per ewe and the lower number of stillborn lambs. In
the second part of the study, archive data of birth weight and its increase ih lambs, as well
as the milk fat content of milk in crossbred sheep were analysed. The main focus was on
the Romanovska breed, which serves as a basis for future improvement and renewal of the
flock. Initially, Romanov sheep were crossed with a Clun Forest ram, resulting in an F1
generation. The female offspring of the F1 generation were mated with a purebred Ille de
France ram to further enhance meatiness, feed conversion, and daily weight gain of the
final F2 generation, which was intended for market placement. The milk fat content of the
F1 generation ewes was significantly higher compared to the purebred Romanov ewes. The
fertility of the F1 ewes was not statistically significantly higher. Daily weight gain and
final weight at 105 days of age of F2 generation lambs was significantly higher than that of
F1 generation lambs. Based on the analysed data, it was concluded that the implementation
of an appropriate feeding regime and the selection of high-quality lambs with good
genetics for flock renewal are important methods to improve reproductive management. By
implementing them, better results can be achieved in sheep breeding.
