Abstract

Pasmina labrador retriver je razvijena kao radni pas specijaliziran za lov. Kroz godine,
uspostavljen je standard pasmine u svrhu očuvanja iznimnih fizičkih i karakternih osobina.
Genetika boje dlake kod labradora pod utjecajem je nekoliko gena. Mutacije u nekim od tih
gena, poput onih povezanih s razrjeđenjem boje, mogu izazvati zdravstvene probleme poput
alopecije. Osim toga, labradori su predisponirani za brojne nasljedne bolesti, poput displazije
laktova i kukova, te očnih problema,... More poput progresivne retinalne atrofije. Ostali zdravstveni
problemi uključuju pretilost, upale vanjskog uha i neoplazije, što su česti izazovi u modernom
dobu. Zahvaljujući svom društvenom karakteru i inteligenciji, labradori su izuzetno
prilagodljivi i danas ih nalazimo u brojnim ulogama, uključujući terapijske pse, pse pomagače,

Abstract (english)

The Labrador Retriever breed was developed as a working dog specialized for hunting.
Over the years, breed standards have been established to preserve the breed's exceptional
physical and temperamental characteristics. Coat color genetics in Labradors is influenced by
several genes. Mutations in some of these genes, such as those associated with color dilution,
can lead to health problems like alopecia. Additionally, Labradors are predisposed to numerous
hereditary conditions, such... More as elbow and hip dysplasia, and eye issues like progressive retinal
atrophy. Other common health problems include obesity, external ear infections, and
neoplasms, which are frequent challenges in modern times. Thanks to their social nature and
intelligence, Labradors are highly adaptable and are now found in various roles, including
therapy dogs, assistance dogs, and working dogs in detection and rescue. Their adaptability and
high intelligence allow them to work in various professional capacities, such as drug and
