Abstract

Hranidba sportskih konja predstavlja veliki dio ekonomske strukture u njihovu držanju, te joj je potrebno pristupiti krajnje odgovorno, sa pozamašnom količinom educiranosti i pažnje. Pri formiranju obroka svakako se treba uzeti u obzir dobrobit pojedine životinje, kvalitetu i količinu sastava obroka i materijalne troškove hranidbe, jer svi navedeni faktori izravno utječu na ponašanje, zdravlje, te naposljetku i na sportske rezultate konja. Nadalje, svaka disciplina konjičkog sporta zahtjeva drugačiji i posebno prilagođen nutricionistički pristup hranidbi konja. Svakako se moraju uvažavati normativi hranjivih tvari, te treba voditi računa o stupnju korištenja i tjelesnoj masi svakog pojedinog konja individualno. Poželjno je da sportski konji konzumiraju suhu tvar u količini između 1 i 3% od svoje tjelesne mase i to po mogućnosti svakodnevno. Vrijeme hranidbe i sastav krmiva u obroku, kao i njihova izbalansiranost, imaju veoma važnu ulogu i mogu polučiti značajne rezultate. Pod utjecajem hranidbe, također su i aerobne i anaerobne faze treninga. Dugoročno gledano, ciljevi vlasnika sportskih konja trebali bi se bazirati prvenstveno na zdravlju, izdržljivosti i prevenciji boli u konja.

Abstract (english)

Feeding of the competition horses presents great deal of economic structure in their posture and for that reason it should be approached with great responsibility and great amount of education and attention. Wellbeing
of any single animal should be taken into consideration while forming meals, quality and quantity of the meal ingredients as well as the overall feeding cost because all of the factors listed above are making direct impact on the behavior, health and sport achievements of the horse. Furthermore every discipline of equestrian sport demands different and specially adjusted nutritional approach regarding the animal feeding habits. It is imperative to fulfill the norms of nutrient matter as well as taking care of degree of usage and horses individual body mass. It is highly desirable for the competition horses to consume dry matter between 1 and 3% of their body mass on the daily basis. Feeding time and composition of the feed materials int he meal as well as their balance got very important role and can yield great results. Aerobic and anaerobic fazes oftraining are under influence of feeding habits as well. In the long run goals of the owner of the competition horses should be based primarily on the health, endurance and animal sickens prevention.
