Abstract

Ptice su poznate po funkciji leta te se u radu nastoje pojasniti morfološke osobitosti koje pridonose tom složenom mehanizmu kao i specifičnosti vezane uz građu tih životinja, koje mogu postati kućni ljubimci.
S obzirom na nedostatak literature na hrvatskom jeziku, obrađena je strana literatura koje je cilj pojasniti embrionalni razvoj, mehanizam kretanja ptica, morfologiju pojedinih sustava te najnovije spoznaje vezane uz pojedine anatomske strukture a kao materijali za izradu ovog rada korišteni su najnoviji članci iz struke kao i sveučilišni inozemni udžbenici, gdje se istražuju mnoge vrste ptica kućnih ljubimaca kao i slobodnoživućih ptica.
Rezultati u literaturi su dobiveni raznim metodama, od anatomske sekcije, histološkog pregleda preparata, mikrografije, radiološke vizualizacije, morfometrijskih mjerenja, elektromiografije, genetskih istraživanja, tomografije, 3D vizualizacije, statističkih analiza te mnogih drugih metoda kako bi se opisala morfologija ptica kućnih ljubimaca.
Interpretacija rezultata kao i zaključak na temelju rezultata nam pomaže razumjeti morfološke osobitosti ptica kućnih ljubimaca u svrhu boljeg rukovanja s pticama kao pacijentima i njihovog liječenja.

Abstract (english)

Birds are known for their flight function, and the paper tries to explaint the morphological features that contribute to this complex mechanism as well as the specifics related to the structure of these animals, which can become pets.
Given the lack of literature in the Croatian language, foreign literature has been processed as material to explain embryonic development, the mechanism of movement of birds, the morphology of individual systems and the latest aknowledgements related to individual anatomical structures and as materials for this paper university foreign textbooks, researching many various species of birds, from pet birds to free living birds.
Results in the literature were obtained by various methods, from anatomical section, histological examination of samples, micrography, radiological visualization, morphometric measurements, electromyography, genetic research, tomography, 3D visualization, statistical analysis and many other methods to describe the morphology of pet birds.
Interpretation of the results as well as conclusion based on results helps us to understand the morphological characteristics of pet birds for the purpose of better handling of birds as patients and their treatment.
